ALL ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY BY DOMINIQUE JAMES

On exhibit at the SLAM

At the huge main entrance lobby of the Saint Louis Arts Museum, I saw three sculptures, one of which was a fine example of Rodin. I also saw an area with very detailed information about the Museum’s ongoing expansion. But most prominent of all, right near the very door, were the many posters visibly displayed on almost all sides of the walls listing in large font prints all the names of patrons, donors, sponsors. Prime spots, so you just can’t miss it. The mandate and mission, after all, is clear: “ensuring for all of us and our children a Museum dedicated to art and free for all.”
